Services We Provide
Debris Removal / Litter Control / Snow and Ice Removal
It is the mission of Grounds Services to provide students, faculty, staff, and guests with a safe, functional, and beautiful working environment. The presentable day to day appearance of Columbus State's campus is Ground Services' number one priority. Multiple inspections are completed daily to ensure the campus maintains its great appearance.
Natural debris is removed and cleared daily by grounds staff members. Parking areas, walkways, and roads are routinely monitored to ensure a presentable and safe environment. Outdoor public trash receptacles are emptied daily and as needed. We provide litter control to the entire campus promoting a safe and clean learning environment. In the event of snow or ice accumulation, our personnel are responsible for keeping the campus safe and accessible for those living and working on campus.
Grounds Services are available Monday-Friday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Our moving and setup crew is happy to assist in moving offices and small items as needed. Please check out our Moving Check List and Moving Label as you prepare to move items in your office. As with any of our tasks, we ask that you submit your request at least 14 days in advance. Be sure to include your name, the building, the room where items need to move, and the number of items to be moved in your eQuest. This information should also be listed on the label adhered to each of the items to be moved. Remember, when moving furniture, all items must be emptied prior to our arrival. This is for the safety of our team and to ensure the furniture is not damaged.
Moving and Setup Assistance is available Monday- Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. We are able to accommodate odd-hour and weekend requests with prior planning and an account number to accommodate overtime as needed.
University Support Services helps facilitate the furniture needs of both campuses. We are happy to assist in choosing new purchases as well as finding surplus furniture when it becomes available. Shipping and Receiving
For non-USPS shipping needs, our Shipping and Receiving area is ready to assist! Please place an eQuest or call (706) 507-8380 if you have a shipping need for your class or department. Refer to our flow chart for the next steps after your package arrives at CSU.
